The high-powered,
positive south monopole magnet clamped about the
pipe repulses the positive hydrogen ion which is
in a triangular orbit about a negative oxygen
ion. This repulsion causes the orbital path to
be compacted or linearized . Due to this
linearization the negative oxygen atom is
shielded. Thus the water molecule takes on a net
positive charge from a net negative charge and
attracts and locks the negative , scale forming
minerals into the water not allowing them to
precipitate.
